Radio Check, This is GME Supply, Over.

Cell phones can do basically anything these days. They’ve got WiFi, 4G LTE, GPS, Candy Crush… the list goes on. But if you’re relying on them to communicate with your crews, consider the following. Kenwood RDU-2020 Two-way radios might not be the flashiest new technology, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t the best option for some tasks.
  • Radios broadcast to groups: You can get messages out to your whole crew at once, no matter how far apart you are on a job site. Stop calling every person individually.
  • Radios don’t require cell signals. Are you inside a building that cuts off cell reception? No worries, bud. The frequencies that two-way radios operate on are great at penetrating concrete, metal, even the ground.
  • Radios increase productivity. You don’t have to wait for a guy to get down off the tower to call you back. He’s not taking his phone up hundreds of feet while he’s working. With a radio, you can get info out instantly. You also can stop walking around a job site looking for the one person you need. A quick chirp on the radio eliminates that waste of time.
  • They pay themselves off. In the scheme of things, they won’t break the bank. And with the time you’re not wasting on less efficient means of communication, you’ll be rolling in the dough.
Check out our radios from Kenwood and Motorola. Both are great options for business-class radios.   You might not have even realized Kenwood is in the radio biz since they’re typically a household name in-car audio. That’s because they dump their funds into R&D to make the most boss radios they can. Check out the TK-3400U16P and the TK-3230DX to see what you’ve been missing out on.   Motorola’s offerings have been redesigned to put out 30% louder than older models, so you won’t have to worry about background noise getting in the way of your communication. Swing by the Motorola page and have a peek at the RDU4160D and the RDU4100. Motorola Radios Be sure to watch our video overviews to find out which two-way radios would be best for you.
